The Village Pub Theatre and Stellar Quines are collaborating to create an evening of new short plays to celebrate International Day of the Girl on October 11th 2017. As part of this event we would like to hold open submissions for playwrights of any level of experience to submit a short play, no longer than 10minutes long that responds to the theme ‘the role of the girl’.
Play Amnesty17 – Stellar Quines & Glasgow Women’s Library are joining forces to call out for donations of plays written by women to fill the new Drama Shelf at GWL to be launched on 8 March – International Women’s Day.

Joan Eardley: A Private View – A new project in association with Heroica Theatre Company and National Galleries Scotland celebrating the life and work of Scottish artist Joan Eardley.
The Gamblers – Greyscale and Dundee Rep Ensemble in association with Stellar Quines and Northern Stage. Stellar Quines were delighted to be part of this in association production, which regendered The Gamblers with an all female cast; marrying our own commitment to push boundaries and challenge stereotypes.
Stellar Quines in partnership with the National Galleries of Scotland presented Untaught to Shine, a project for emerging theatre practitioners.
Knit Two Together (K2TOG) was a Heritage Lottery funded, All Our Stories project aimed at championing the female stories and histories intertwined in the Scottish Borders’ textiles industries as well as celebrating all things knitting. K2TOG was run in partnership with Heart of Hawick. Threads by Sylvia Dow was commissioned as a result of this project touring the Scottish Borders in Autumn 2015.
