Thérèse and Pierrette at Holy Angels by Michel Tremblay
Adapted by Serge Denoncourt, Translated by Molly Innes

Thérèse and Pierrette at Holy Angels is a play about friendship and truth, set in a Quebec convent school in the 1940s. Our three girls, Thérèse, Pierrette and Simone remind us of the utter hilarity and intense jealousies of being eleven and the creeping understanding of sex. With a large cast and an amazing ‘coup de théâtre’ – be prepared for a lively night!

Join Molly, Director Lu Kemp and our 11 strong cast for the second development of Molly Innes’ translation into Scots of Serge Denoncourt’s theatrical adaptation of Michel Tremblay’s novel.

Beyond the Mud Walls by Nalini Paul

Beyond the Mud Walls explores the life of Freda Bedi, an English political prisoner for India’s independence and the first Western woman to take ordination in Tibetan Buddhism. Poetry and Indian classical dance weave a rich, colourful backdrop, giving voice to India’s forgotten heroines. Partly based on Bedi’s book, Behind the Mud Walls (1941).

Join Nalini, Director Muriel Romanes and the cast, including dancers from Dance Ihayami for the culmination of a years development supported by Creative Scotland, the Tom McGrath Trust and a Dance Base residency.

Age Recommendation: 14+
