Document will use as its starting point the stories told in one family of South Indian origin, now living in Scotland. Four women, across four generations provide the stimulus for a performance piece told from an alternative cultural perspective and one that explores aspects of the changing roles and aspirations of women across a century, told through text, music and images,

Annie George is a writer, theatremaker and occasional filmmaker based in Edinburgh, and has worked in Scottish theatre for twenty seven years. She was awarded the Inspiring Scotland 2016 Bursary in association with the Saltire Society.

Her solo shows include Home Is Not the Place (Fringe 2017) and The Bridge, a Glasgow 2014 commission and Scottish tour (2015).


Annie has been appointed by The Scottish Book Trust as one of their Ignite Fellows for 2019.
