Meet our Marketing Officer… Sarah Marie Mooney

The Marketing Officer delivers Stellar Quines’ marketing activity including online and offline marketing, e-communications and social media. The role supports the General Manager who leads the organisation’s strategic marketing and planning in response to Stellar Quines’ Business Plan.

Sarah gained a first class BA (Joint Hons) in ‘Journalism and Creative Writing’ and ‘English’ from the University of Strathclyde. She began her career working in digital marketing for Skills Development Scotland before moving to PR and marketing agencies. As an Account Manager she gained experience in providing strategic and creative campaigns across a variety of sectors and worked on a number of Scottish Government campaigns. Her clients have included Edinburgh Dungeon, The Famous Grouse, Saltire Literary Awards and Stewart Brewing.

Working as Media Officer for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society in 2019 marked a move from agency life back to in-house communications. Following this, she began a masters in ‘Playwriting and Dramaturgy’ at the University of Glasgow. She joined Stellar Quines in April 2020 as Marketing Officer, a role that allows her to combine her communications experience with her love of theatre. She previously was a member of the Tron Theatre Young Company.

Sarah is currently chair of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) NextGen Scotland committee. She is also participating in Arts & Business Scotland’s New Voices: Fresh Perspectives programme.
