Meet our Artistic Director & Chief Executive… Caitlin Skinner

Caitlin is Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Stellar Quines. She decides what the artistic programme of the company will be and works closely with the Producer to produce a business strategy for Stellar Quines. She is also keen to provide opportunities for women and girls looking to work in theatre and is a strong advocate of gender equality within the arts.

Caitlin is a theatre director based in Edinburgh. She is one half of award-winning feminist theatre company Jordan & Skinner and director of new writing theatre company Pearlfisher. She was formerly Artistic Director of the Village Pub Theatre and in joining Stellar Quines will be stepping down from her role as Associate Director at Pitlochry Festival Theatre.  

Her recent directing credits include Distance Remaining by Stewart Melton (Helen Milne Productions), Alone by Janey Godley (National Theatre of Scotland), Five from Inside by Rona Munro (Traverse Theatre), Move-Glassed co-director (disaster plan), Hope and Joy (Pearlfisher/Stellar Quines), A Brief History of the Fragile Male EgoAt A Stretch and Sanitise (Jordan & Skinner), Sunnyside Centre (Village Pub Theatre), Woke (Apphia Campbell) and The Strange Case of Jekyll and Hyde (Lung Ha Theatre Company). She was also recently Associate Director on Lament for Sheku Bayoh by Hannah Lavery (National Theatre of Scotland).
