Retrospective look at Cat and Mouse presented on International Women’s Day 2011

On International Women’s Day 2011, the 100th anniversary, Stellar Quines presented a reading of Cat and Mouse by Ajay Close. This told the story of the Scottish suffragettes that were imprisoned in Perth Prison and the terrible ordeals they suffered during their incarceration.

This was staged during Stellar Quines production of Age of Arousal at The Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh, which was an award-winning production directed by Muriel Romanes written by Linda Griffiths, about a group of women who were fighting for emancipation and the barriers they came up against.

We came across this review of cat and Mouse recently and we wanted to share it with you today on International Women’s Day 2018, which falls in the same time as we celebrate 100 years since women won the right to vote.
