Mortal Memories at Òran Mór

All of us at Stellar Quines are delighted that Mortal Memories by Liz Lochhead is being produced as A Play, A Pie and A Pint show at Glasgow’s Òran Mór. Mortal Memories was given a rehearsed reading by Stellar Quines in September 2012 and the original cast from that reading, Anne Scott Jones, David Anderson and Robert Pettigrew are also staring in Òran Mór’s production. Both the rehearsed reading and production are directed by Marilyn Imrie.

Mortal Memories is a bittersweet comedy about three quirky old characters with not a lot in common, except that they all live in the same Sheltered Housing Complex – and someone-in-charge is determined they’ve to co-operate in putting on a Burns Supper. They are, all three, supposed to be, in their different ways, Burns Daft, aren’t they? These days, though, Nettie’s memory is proving all too mortal, and recently-widowed John finds he’s flooded with ones that hurt too much…

The production runs from Monday 20 – Saturday 25 May and tickets can be bought from Òran Mór’s box office: 0141 357 6200
