Kabaret was previewed May 2005 at the Assembly Rooms’ Ball Room at ‘An Evening with Stellar Quines’, a special event that celebrated the company’s successful past. The audience gave standing ovations for Stellar Quines’ new show Kabaret starring the wonderful Una McLean, rising star Jennifer Rhodes and astounding pianist and composer Hilary Brooks.

Kabaret is inspired by the European cabaret style popularised by the likes of Jacques Brel, Marlene Dietrich and Edith Piaf. Devised and directed by John Ramage, Kabaret engages the audience through song in moving and personal stories of love, loss, pain and pleasure. Also on stage is musical director and composer Hilary Brooks, who first worked with John Ramage on Dundee Rep’s acclaimed production of Cabaret.
