Rukulibam by Helen Kluger
Stellar Quines celebrates its 10th anniversary of Rehearsal Room, the well-established and successful platform where new plays are showcased. The three evenings will allow writers to be proactive in the development of their texts along with actors and directors and gives the audience the chance to tell the artists what they think of the new plays and projects.
Rehearsal Room 10 will include three very distinctive plays, namely Judith Adams’ adaptation of The Girls of Slender Means by Dame Muriel Spark which was last read at Rehearsal Room 8 in 2004 to a sold-out theatre, Game Theory by Pamela Carter and Selma Dimitrijevic is inspired by a branch of mathematics and will explore the competition, gamesmanship and strategies that underlie informal transactions between groups or individuals in everyday and extraordinary situations. Rukulibam by Helen Kluger is a moving play about memory, loss and agony of the Holocaust. Tim, a World War II veteran, and Milina, a survivor of a concentration camp, meet on a train on their way back to Belsen in 1995 for the 50th anniversary of the end of the war.
